THE STORY BEHIND THE BRAND

Behind the Edit.

My interest in skincare started long before The Skin Editory existed. For years, I struggled with acne and found myself trying everything from prescription treatments to home remedies, constantly searching for something that actually worked. The more products I tried, the more questions I had. Why do certain ingredients work for some people but not others? How much of what we're told about skincare is actually supported by science?

With a background in biological sciences, chemistry, and global health, along with experience in clinical research, I've always been drawn to understanding the science behind things. Naturally, that curiosity found its way into skincare. I became increasingly interested in cosmetic formulations, ingredient efficacy, and the gap between scientific evidence and the claims we see in beauty marketing.

That's what inspired me to create The Skin Editory, a space where I could combine my love for skincare with my passion for research, question the trends, and explore what the science actually tells us.

My goal is simple: to make skincare science more accessible, encourage informed decisions, and bring a thoughtful, evidence-based perspective to an industry that can sometimes make it difficult to separate fact from marketing.
